ExpectationsOur class rules, as well as our school rules, encourage students to follow The Tiger Way. When we discussed The Tiger Way in class, the following were what the students felt were important:
1. Be respectful - This includes (but is not limited to): Listen when others speak, use manners, accept differences in both people and opinions, respect (be careful with ) school materials and furniture, follow instructions, work appropriately, use quiet voices, respect personal space, be kind, and keep hands and objects to yourself. 2. Be responsible - Take care of details before class begins (bathroom trips, sharpening pencils, etc.), complete and turn in all work on time, take care of materials, do your own work (no copying), ask for help when you need it, bring materials to class, be responsible for your own words and actions - apologize as necessary, be on time, come to school every day, know (and follow) class routines and procedures, have materials organized and work area ready. 3. Be ready - Bring necessary materials to class each day, be in your seat and ready for instructions when the bell rings, have your work space organized and pencils sharpened, copy the agenda from the board, bring your chrome book and library book every day, and remember to use the bathroom before class. ConsequencesConsequences will be assigned based on the severity of the infraction and following the guidelines set up in the student agenda (pages 6 and 7). I will treat you with dignity and respect, but you will be held accountable for your choices and behaviors. Severe or repeated disruptions will be referred to the administration. (Let's not go there!)
